Agriculture has evolved into agribusiness and has become a vast
and complex system that reaches far beyond the farm to encompass
all those who involved in bringing food to consumer.
Agribusiness system has undergone a rapid transformation as new
industries have evolved and traditional farming operations have
grown larger and more specialized. The transformation did not
happen overnight, but came slowly as a response to a variety of
forces. This is mainly due to changing taste and fashion of the
consumers on the one hand, and introduction of substitute and
cheaper and better quality, competitive goods, on the other.
Here comes the role of an agribusiness manager to give proper
thought to this consideration in order to make business a
successful one.
I have a feeling of immense happiness, satisfaction and pride
that the second batch of MBA (Agribusiness Management) from the
college of Co-operation, Banking and Management is all set to
release their Placement brochure. I wish a highly successful
year in terms of placement for the students of 2007-2009 batch.
